Pranayama Session

"When the breath is agitated, the mind is agitated. The mind becomes calm when the breath becomes steady."

Hatha Yoga Pradipika (II.2)

Breathing is the basis of life. We do it unconsciously about 18 times per minute, 1,080 times per hour and 25,920 times per day.

However, when we do it consciously, we can improve our breathing habits, which will lead us to live longer and better lives.

Many studies have shown that exercises for better breathing have many benefits:

- Improved cognitive function.

- Reduction of anxiety and stress symptoms.

- Improved lung capacity.

- Improvement of blood pressure.

- Improved brain functions.

Conscious breathing is achieved by following the yogic exercises of Paranayama, exercises by which the breath is controlled to improve and master the prāṇā and its flows within the body and thus gain control of the mind.

By changing the way you breathe, you will be changing the way your mind processes thoughts, feelings and emotions. The way we breathe clearly affects us.

In the sessions I propose we will explore our connection with the way we breathe and our breathing habits and discover scientifically proven breathing techniques to improve health.

We will explore breathing techniques for anxiety, balancing the mind and regulating the nervous system, to access the subconscious. These are simple techniques and can be done anywhere, anytime.
